MBE Score Advisory
Some jurisdictions do not permit the release of MBE scaled scores to examinees. If you took the MBE in one of those jurisdictions, NCBE can provide limited guidance to assist you in your application decisions. The MBE Score Advisory is designed to let you know if your score meets or exceeds one of the following scaled score values: 133, 145, or 150. This advisory is solely for your personal use, does not include your actual score, and is not shared with jurisdictions for transfer purposes. It is only available if your testing jurisdiction does not release scores and does not authorize NCBE to do so.
To order an MBE Score Advisory, first determine if your testing jurisdiction authorizes NCBE to perform score advisories. Then log in to your NCBE Account (or create an NCBE Account if you do not have one) and go to the Score Services section to complete and submit an MBE Score Advisory Request. In making the request, you will be asked to enter the jurisdiction where you most recently took the MBE and the exam date (month and year) of that exam.
MBE Score Advisories are posted to the examinee's NCBE Account File Cabinet. To perform an MBE Score Transfer, please see the instructions provided above.
Fee
A $30 fee is required for an MBE Score Advisory.
Time Frame
Ordinarily, MBE Score Advisories are processed the next business day after receipt of payment, but not until after the testing jurisdiction has announced its examination results.
NCBE reports examinees' MBE scores to the jurisdiction in which the examinee tested. NCBE does not report scores to examinees or other jurisdictions unless authorized by the testing jurisdiction.
