How do I Transfer My Score to a Jurisdiction?

If you would like to have your MBE score transferred to another jurisdiction, request an Official Bar Exam Score Transcript. Follow these steps before requesting an Official Bar Exam Score Transcript.

Step 1: Determine if the jurisdiction to which you are seeking admission accepts transferred MBE scores. Additionally, check with the jurisdiction about any conditions it imposes. If the jurisdiction accepts transferred MBE scores, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Determine if the jurisdiction where you took the MBE (the testing jurisdiction) authorizes NCBE to transfer its MBE scores. If it does, proceed to Step 3. If it does not, then contact the testing jurisdiction to have your score transferred.

Step 3: Log in to your NCBE Account or create an NCBE Account if you do not have one and go to the Score Services page and select Request Bar Exam Score Service. Note that transcripts include all MBE scores earned during the last seven years (when authorized by the testing jurisdiction), as well as all scores earned on the legacy UBE and/or NextGen UBE.

Fee

A $30 fee is required for each Official Bar Exam Official Bar Exam Score Transcript.

Time Frame

Ordinarily, score services requests are processed the next business day after receipt of payment. Scores will not appear on transcripts until after the testing jurisdiction has announced its examination results and authorized release of your score.
