Legacy UBE Scores

NCBE scores the MBE component of the legacy UBE. Jurisdictions grade the MEE and MPT components. The MEE and MPT scores are scaled to the MBE and UBE total scores are calculated by NCBE. The MBE is weighted 50%, the MEE 30%, and the MPT 20%. Legacy UBE total scores are reported on a 400-point scale. Jurisdictions set their own minimum passing scores for the legacy UBE.

NCBE automatically reports legacy UBE scores to jurisdictions in which examinees took the legacy UBE, and the jurisdictions report the scores directly to their own examinees. Legacy UBE scores are also available to examinees on the Score Services page of their NCBE Account after the testing jurisdiction has announced its examination results and authorized release of the examinee’s scores.

Legacy UBE Score Services has information about how to transfer your Legacy UBE score(s) to a jurisdiction other than the one in which you took the legacy UBE.
